Tired Sunday

Missed a run in the morning due to competing in the 2km at the Cole Classic. I think I managed to avoid being last in my age group due to a sprint up the beach where I overtook an overweight bloke with the same coloured swim cap as me, so avoided complete embarrasment.

As a result of the swim and yesterday's race, the first 5kms of today's run over my favourite Manly long run route (Seaforth, North Head and Balgowlah Heights) was very sluggish. Got into it a bit after that, particularly after deciding to push the hills to raise the heart rate. Bumped into Thamal up at North Head who was looking as relaxed as ever. However, struggled over the final 5km running through the bush on the Manly to Spit path. 2:09:41 all up.

Knackered now. Achilles and hip better than ever but my old knee injury is feeling a bit weak. Need to restart the ski squat exercises which I was religious about until 4 months ago when I started all the other bloody exercises I have to do.

Fantastic run by Jeff Hunt in the Beppu marathon. I always said that lad had talent...

Yes Tom, Mr. Hunt did well. As did Hosaka san. His recent progress shows we all could, in theory, do much better.

60 - 2:36:30, Beppu-Oita 2009
61 - 2:38:12, Beppu-Oita 2010

By the way, I hope I can run that local long run with you one day.

I didn't see Hunts run but people are talking about him here today.

Australia has a new long distance running star, I'm really happy for him, it's also just what we need.

I don't follow things there and don't know much about him can you tell me a bit about him?

Hi Scott. He's been a regular runner for Randwick Botany in the ANSW events and has always done very well in X-Country. He's also got a very relaxed, economical running style so the marathon was probably always going to be the best option. Very impressive to negative split your first marathon though.

Hello

I am new to this site. Loads of individuals have added so many good things here. I would also like to contribute some thing for this community. I would like to share some quick weight loss tips. If you wish to know how to lose 10 lb in a week, you are probably not searching for a general diet and workout plan. You can lose weight with a standard diet and exercise plan, However this requires a lot of time doing intense cardio practises and following a strict diet. Here I will draft the right steps that I took to lose 10 pounds in just a week.

1. Stay away from all fried foods for the week
2. Drink In an 8oz glass of Citrus paradisi with breakfast every day. (this speeds up your metabolism)
3. Eat Up fair portions (stop taking when you are full)
4. Instead of eating 3 huge a meals a day, eat up 5-6 small meals to keep your metabolism up and keep your body burning fat.
5. Do not eat anything after 9pm. Calories do not burn, when you eat so late.
6. Take proper sleep every night. Not taking plenty rest causes been proved to be a ranking element to the body putting up excess fat.
7. Apply a body/colon cleanse for the 7 days. This will get rid of unnecessary fat stored around the tummy area as well as cleanse your body of harmfull pollutants that cause you store fat and feel tired. Flush away excess pounds around the stomach area that otherwise would be hard to lose.
8. I reccomend you using Acai Berry Diet Pills. This one is proven to work, and you can get a free trial.
9. For those people who desire to burn fat quickly, avoid intoxicant.
10. A low GI diet is an brilliant method of loosing weight quickly.

Hi Tom , Whats this blog come to?
As a new poster myself i'd like to add a few comments as well. If the 10 previous points fail - Get yourself OUT with the HuRTS team for a social night, Requirements are a good thirst,Hold a stick(on the pool table - I know that rules Tucks and Kane out) and bring your best bullshit (banter - Charlie normally has this in abundance)
Cheers

We did an out and back the year I did the Cole Classic. Out through the Manly break and then surfed in the Bower break. And then surf back in the manly break. Still it was 2ks then as well. Jeff Hunt won State longcourse X-C twice I think Scott.
